Policy transfer

The High Court of Ireland has approved the transfer of all Phoenix Life Assurance Europe policies to Standard Life International dac, another Irish company in Phoenix Group.

The hearing took place on 12 November 2024 and the transfer will happen on 1 January 2025.

On 1 January 2023, Phoenix Life Limited (Phoenix) and ReAssure Life Limited (ReAssure) transferred certain European policies to Phoenix Life Assurance Europe dac (PLAE).​

Phoenix transferred its Irish, German, and Icelandic policies and ReAssure transferred its Swedish, Norwegian, and German policies.​

Phoenix, ReAssure and PLAE are all part of Phoenix Group. ​

Approval to transfer the polices was received from the High Court of England and Wales on 18 October 2022, and the High Court of Ireland on 1 November 2022.
